Lynn Appelle is a 2002 Academy Award winner for the documentary short, Thoth, which she produced with director Sarah Kernochan.

Over the last few years she co-produced the feature film New York City Serenade, directed by Frank Whaley (starring Freddie Prinze Jr./Chris Klein, 2007 Toronto film festival selection). She was line producer on the upcoming Sissy Spacek drama Lake City (directed by Perry Moore/Hunter Hill and also starring, Troy Garity/Rebecca Romijn/Keith Carradine, 2008 Tribeca film festival selection), as well as the horror film Manslaughter (executive produced by Freddie Prinze Jr). Lynn has also produced two feature films, the comedy Slippery Slope (directed by Sarah Schenk, starring Jim True-Frost/ Laila Robins/Kelly Hutchinson) and the romantic comedy Premium (starring Zoe Saldana/Hill Harper/Frankie Faison, directed by Pete Chatmon) which was released in 2007 on DVD. She is currently line-producing Howl with executive producer Gus Van Sant (starring Jeff Daniels, David Strathairn and James Franco).
